KLAP is a student run platform for creating an interaction between professional artists and students of Minerva through organizing events in different locations. We initiated lectures, exhibitions and were involved in several projects.
We invited 15 professionals and 15 students to discuss art related topics with eachother. They got four minutes to discuss the topic, and then they had to move on to the next person to discuss a different statement. Afterwords there was time to meet up with the person you would like to continue the discussion with.
For the SDG Labs conference in Stockholm in the summer of 2017 we did a collaboration with Toentje, a community garden in Groningen. Together we developed a project and thought about the future of the garden.
Exchanging dialogues is a collaborative project between Minerva Art academy, KLAP and the Vietnam University of Fine Arts. During three weeks students discussed topics related to culture, history, environment and other relevant subjects within our societies. Through creating a dialogue between different cultures we aimed to highlight these topics and generate new ways of thinking by creating both research and conversation-based artworks. The outcome was a final exhibition at the university of Fine Arts in Hanoi, with works from six collaborations between Vietnamese students and students from Minerva.
