Vrijplaats Voor Verbeelding was a 1-year project set in Bierum, northern Groningen. This project playfully explored how we experience our surroundings, how imagination can influence this experience and how we can rediscover our surroundings by looking at, moving through and listening to them in different ways.
A mobile tourist office moved through the landscape, a newspaper was published every month and spread around Bierum to reach people at home in pandemic times, site-specific installations were made in collaboration with other artists, and many activities, walks and workshops were organised.
This project was made possible with supported by the Mondriaan Fund (projectinvestering), Stichting Stokroos (publicatie), Kunstraad Groningen and the Bierumer School
part of it was the collective wandering, a one-day performance happening in and around Bierum with 13 artists: >>> https://vrijplaatsvoorverbeelding.hotglue.me/collectivewandering <<<
