CollectiveConstructs
A collective run by Lola Diaz Cantoni & Jorien Ketelaar. As a collective we are interested in creating space for people to reflect, question and share. To do so, we use art as a tool to open up people’s minds and create new perspectives through personal encounters and dialogue.
The audience plays a fundamental role in our work, as they are actively part and co-creators of each situation together with us. We consider this collaboration as an intrinsic part of what we do, as this provides the content of each work. By building a collective construction of knowledge,
we aim to make art which creates new ways of looking and relating to the world.

Stamppot project
In February 2019 we did a 48hs residency at Kunsthuis SYB in Beetsterzwaag. During the 48 hours we wanted to get in contact with the inhabitants of the village. To do so, we approached people and asked for their favourite stamppot recipies, which we then cooked and shared during a dinner and a lunch open for everyone. During the meals people could share their thoughts and memories related to stamppot, art and life in Beetsterzwaag.
The Space
a space for reflection
a space for encounters
a space for enjoying ourselves
a space for learning
a space for sharing
a space for doing
a space where everyone is welcome
a space for playing
a space for experimenting and put in practice our ideas about art, life, education, sharing, etc.
a space to feed our minds and hearts and stomachs
a space in which we strongly believe
